Dr. Kaila Helmer has a heart of gold! She stepped up to the plate in a major way after an unfortunate accident happened and our two baby girls got stabbed by a psychopath at a park. She was so through and offered such quality care and such love to my girls. Eternally grateful for her support and expertise throughout this insane ordeal. Cannot recommend her and the entire sweet staff at Presidio Way highly enough. Eternally greatful.

The staff here is unbelievable. From the receptionists (especially Melissa!) to the technicians to Dr. Helmer herself, everyone has always been over-the-top nice and welcoming in every way. Dr. Helmer is hands down the best veterinarian we have ever met. She cares for our dog Walnut like her own. She is knowledgeable, personable and compassionate. What I appreciate most about her is her ability to listen and truly make us feel heard in every concern we've ever had about our odd little chihuahua. About a year ago, our dog was having a lot of anxiety that was resulting in very odd behavior at night. Dr. Helmer continuously made herself available by email and was always so quick to respond, assuring us we'd find a solution. She didn't pressure us to spend money on expensive medications that she wasn't sure would even work, but instead really tried to find the root of the problem.I would recommend Dr. Helmer to anyone and everyone! Simply THE BEST.

I've been bringing my dogs to Presidio Way for almost 25 years, and in all that time of course have been to other practices, but nothing like these guys... They are terrific! We've been through thick and thin, life and death, illness and health, and I couldn't ask for better, more caring, high quality treatment (and the price hasn't sent me to the poorhouse yet 🙂... The whole range of a pup to adult to old dog's needs, however mundane or outright bizarre, they're on it. Of course the staff has changed over the years, but every one of them cares about the animals. One of their techs came to my first dog's memorial, that really meant something. Love these guys.
